2026 AMPRA Championships & Team Selection

  • Team Selection (Single event) for the 2027 F3D & F3E Pylon World Champs (WC Dates and Venue TBC).
  • Field is available for practice/set-up Thursday 4th & Friday 5th.
  • F3D & F3E pre-processing – Friday 5th.
  • Camping (Hot Showers), Available at the field – $10 fee (per couple) paid to Club.
  • Club Canteen – Breakfast & Lunch and Cold Drinks on sale, Saturday & Sunday.
  • Racing Start – 9am both days.
    • Saturday – F3D & F3E, (4 rounds alternating – up to 12 rounds of each for Team Selection).
    • Sunday Morning – Complete remaining rounds of F3D & F3E if required.
    • Sunday – F3T & F3R(Q500), 8 Rounds (after completion of team selection rounds).
    • Monday – Reserve Day

Please note for F3R(Q500):

The F3R(Q500) class will be per the provisions of SC4_Vol_F3_Pylon_25, ANNEX 5W (F3R as a Multi-Formula Class) with the following provisions and will be flown on the long (F3D/T) course.

  • Per 5W-1. – Accepted engines will be any un-modified commercially available (including previously commercially available) front induction side exhaust sport engine that has a standard muffler (i.e., zero boost) and Carby as supplied by the manufacturer with the engine and displacement up to .46ci. examples:
    • OS 46AX
    • Thunder Tiger 46Pro
    • Force 46ABC
    • SC 46A….. etc.
  • Per 5W-3. – Fuel will be 15% Nitro and with Synthetic/Castor oil blend as used for F3T at the event.
  • Per 5W-4. – Internal tube (tuned) mufflers are not allowed.
  • Per 5W-4. – Accepted Propeller will be 9X7 APC only.

This is the F3R formula that has been running at the World Cup event in Qatar and at European events in the past few years with great success and, has also been incorporated into the World Cup event in July (Maryborough). You will note this is similar (Prop & Fuel difference) to the Q500 class / aircraft already flown in Aus.
