The Festival of Aeromodelling is a nine-day celebration of model aviation bringing together pilots, clubs, and enthusiasts from across Australia. The event showcases a wide range of aeromodelling disciplines through competition flying, demonstrations, and recreational flying activities.
Running from 4–12 July 2026, the festival provides opportunities for experienced competitors, recreational pilots, and junior flyers to participate in a welcoming and social flying environment. With on-site camping, multiple flying sessions, and evening social activities, the festival is designed to bring the aeromodelling community together and celebrate the diversity of the hobby.
While the festival runs for nine days, attendees are welcome to participate for as many days as they choose, with both full registrations and day passes available.
Early registrations have already shown strong interest from pilots and support crew across multiple states, with many first-time attendees joining regular competitors.
